We have conservative leaders, personalities and even POLITICIANS talking about how people with weak immune systems and old people are wiling to DIE so the rest of society can live and joking about meeting vulnerable liberal leaders and ignoring calls to avoid large gatherings to stop virus spread is a lesson to all of you.

They don't see this as a huge problem and even if it is, they are asking the weak, old and frail to die so everyone else can live.

Even dear old blob Trump is willing to push out conspiracy theories and now asking old and weak people to just get out of the way so that everyone else can move on..

Can you imagine if this was the apocalypse? Imagine what the response would be next...i'm sure it starts with the phrase "survival of the fittest"..

I couldnt listen to that guy manipulating everything that was said so I only watched the important parts with the two republicans shown to evaluate what they actually said.

The first republican said that older people want the economy to reopen and are willing to take care of themselves. There is a growing thought that the virus is truly only a danger to the elderly and those with compromised immune systems which is evident by the ridiculous number of young spring breakers who were violating the gathering restrictions across the world and in most cases being escorted off the beaches. While it is true that young people have died to the virus it is also true that most young people who get the virus will end up only having minor symptoms and recover fully. That being said there is an argument that only those most susceptible to the virus should be self quarantined and not everybody under the sun. This would allow the economy to continue without the death toll rising substantially.

President Trump said a similar thing in the quote featured. The coronavirus is effectively, but not literally, a worse flu. Yet we do not shut down the economy every time flu season comes around and we dont exactly want to set the precedent that we should. In addition he mentioned that although deaths may seem high when you compare that to deaths from other things like automobile accidents it is incredibly lower, and yet we dont shutdown or restrict those in an effort to flatten the curve for those ratios.

None of what was said suggested that old people should die for the economy. The speaker in the video is just twisting the words of the two featured to suit his agenda that orange man bad and all his cronies are too.
