it's this topic again because i got a shiny Zubat whoo

and then i found out THERE IS NO CROBAT in Let's Go so there goes my pink Crobat

Pokemon Gold: Had a shiny spearow run away from me. (and red gyarados of course)

So all in all, I have only caught ONE full odds shiny ever, my Emerald Wingull. But altogether, I'm up past 50 almost entirely due to Pokemon go. ;)

Currently have 57 in Home received through a variety of methods. Several bred just to have, some bred accidentally for team replays, some traded, etc.

One in Go.

Six more in my replay of Sword.

And around three or four that I either couldn't catch or lose due to losing the cart.

Roughly 70 or so.

I found a stupid amount of them in X, so it's definitely in the 21+ range. These are just the ones that were random chance and not purposely chained/bred for.

to be fair the odds on most of those were likely better than that due to events featuring them at the time. (not that odds are obvious or anything but things like community days definitely get a shiny rate boost for whatever the pokemon is).

Ones caught at (for-sure) full GO odds (meaning no event containing them when caught) would be:
Oddish, Duskull *2, Chikorita, Ratatta (alolan), Sunkern, Luvdisc.

There we go. 6 shinies, nearly all of them found when I was specifically looking for a different species. Kricketot and Wurmple were both almost immediately after getting the National Pokdex so there were new species on old routes; Skrelp was when I was trying to get a Shellder just for Pokdex completion; Mienfoo was when I was trying to get a competitive Pangoro for a gimmick team; and Pansage was when I was trying to get a bunch of spare Scatterbug in order to trade them for other variants of Vivillon. Amoonguss was the odd one out; I was traveling through Kalos Route 20 for the first time when I came upon that one.

The Skrelp, Pansage, and Kricketot have been evolved too, of course; I just specified Wurmple's earlier because it's a split evolution line. Pretty sure I never got around to evolving Mienfoo to Mienshao.

I have played through every generation and I have never found a shiny outside of the red Gyarados. Pokemon GO doesn't count because the odds are much better.
