I just wrote a check for the first time in maybe ever? I'm sure that's not quite true but I don't remember the last time I wrote a check (this was because I accidentally used my work credit card for an uber so I had to pay my company back lol)

I'm 32. I remember having to write checks a lot when I was like 18-20 or so. I just had to write one to a car dealership and had completely forgotten a lot of the stuff.

I use checks to pay off my credit card, and to pay my lawn guy, and for insurance bills

Oh, and I also use checks when paying property taxes and when I owe income tax to the IRS

I did for my small business I ran for a while. Most vendors were too small to have a website or credit card reader, so I paid them in checks.

I also pay my property manager for a property I own in checks, and give her signed checks to make payments related to our property.

I'm 27 and I've never had to write a check for anything. I'm on my second owned house too. Got a cashier's check made out for the deposits and down payments for those but literally everything else I've ever had to pay for was done so by cash, card, or ACH.

Up until recently our mortgage was our only regular monthly check, but we refinanced at a better rate and the new company just deducts from bank account like most bills.

We still sporadically have to write one for a contractor or random rare thing but yeah its definitely rare.

Had to last weekend to move in to new apartment. My old apartment didnt switch to electric payments until about a year ago so o was writing one once a week for that.

Otherwise the only time not related to rent I can recall writing a check was a wedding gift to my sister
