It was a free trial level cap thing.
In the tutorial area, a mage challenged me to a duel and used ice magic to slow my movement. What a cheat! Things were looking bad because I couldn't get close enough for melee. Then I remembered I had something like a musket. So I used that... and nearly won. I still remember all that. I really wish I won. /notsocoolstory ... Copied to Clipboard!

I had a similar story except it was on FFXI. Some BLM(I dont remember) challenged me(Drg) to a 1 v 1. And kited me as if my name was Kirin. Halo CE on PC had the best free trial. You could play entire Silent Cartographer on any difficulty, and also Multiplayer on Blood Gulch (Best Halo MP map) with all MP features in tact.
It had low system requirements so people would play multiplayer on their school computers during class. It was so good that it lasted over 10 years and when Gamespy shut down their online servers people made a private server for just the trial version. --- ~Nintendo 64. Get N or Get out.
