Last contest matches seemed to average 17-20k votes just eyeballing it. The PotDs leading into the contest were about 10k so honestly we haven't changed much in that regard. There's 127 matches so just math'ing that out gets you a range of 2.16m - 2.54m. If you think the votals will be lower (or for some reason higher?) then adjust accordingly.

And our average vote totals today are pretty similar to the PotDs leading up to the start of the 2018 contest.

Clearly the issue will be how well this contest draws in votes. This upcoming contest is unlikely to produce such a large increase in vote totals compared to the regular PotDs due to the overall field being much weaker than a normal Games Contest. The early rounds might also struggle more than usual to get votes, especially if voters are forced to pick a game from all 4 matches (in the first 2 rounds) before the voting form will allow them to submit their votes. For the casual voter, this means having to potentially vote in matches where they have played neither game just so they can vote for a game they really love in a different match on the same day.

My recommended guessing range will be 1900000 to 2300000. There's also going to be a 6 day break in the middle of the contest for the Second Chance Bracket. As we saw with the previous contest, the break actually hurt our vote totals after the contest resumed again as there weren't any bonus matches during the break to keep the casual voters engaged with the contest. So some casual voters weren't aware of the contest resuming again. Unless we get bonus matches during the break, you may want to factor in the potential impact it could have on vote totals later in the contest.
