Looks like he lowered his fist in his gloves, essentially negating the padding. So he practically hit Wilder bare knuckle in a place where Wilder doesn't expect to be hit.

Kinda crazy if you think about it.

Yeah he got caught with steroids and with cocaine. And his sparring partner claimed he removed the paddings from his gloves (which is insane since sparring gloves are super padded for a reason).

He still managed to hit some hard shots with his left like the 2nd ko where fury got him in the body. No way that would have done damage had he had his fists halfway down his gloves. More than likely broken furys wrist.

My knowledge on boxing is very limited, I'll admit. I watched the fight with a friend. It just looked like Wilder just kept going for hard knock out shots while Fury kept on the inside and pretty much just out boxed him.

Actually, if you look at it, Wilder dodges Fury's left hook (if his hand is in the glove normally). He essentially moves INTO the wrist, as that's usually a safe spot. But if you watch it in slow motion, Wilder is heavily affected by it, due to Fury's fist being down there instead of his wrist.

So it's bare knuckle (no padding) AND an unexpected/illegal punch that Wilder moved into based on false pretenses (that Fury had his glove on correctly).

That's definitely false. It's well known that the opposite is true, and I can tell you from experience, having punched with bare knuckle and with padding. You realize sparring gloves are heavier (more padding) specifically to make the punches lighter and less damaging right? That wouldn't make sense with your assertion.

The post shows Fury bypassing the padding, which makes his hit the equivalent of bare knuckle. See above for bare knuckles hitting harder than a glove (it does).

You can also condition your fists though (not nearly as much as shins in Muay Thai, but still). Personally I've hit brick walls and other shit without breaking my hands and I'm pretty sure brick is harder than a skull. Gloves are to protect you, not the other guy.

Both are harder than the smaller bones in your hands. If you punch a stone wall and dont smash your hand its only because you didnt hit it hard enough

I can probably guarantee I hit harder than most people here. Trained boxing, Muay Thai for almost 4 years now. But my knuckles are already fucked from years of being an angry ass teenager punching holes in walls and shit.

1. This is flat out untrue. Have you boxed? Have you noticed the difference in damage between sparring gloves and professional gloves? What's the difference? Padding.
2. No it wouldn't. It allows you to do what Fury did. You can flick a jab and you can hit them with punches it seems like they dodged. Very few boxers are going to bother dodging a wrist coming at you. It's the glove you tend to avoid.

Yes that's true. And a side effect is that you don't punch as hard. This is a known thing. Like someone literally went to prison for removing padding from their gloves in the 80s.

Probably not. Several others have pointed this out as well. Probably just didn't want it buried under a lot of negative comments and dislikes, from people who just don't care or don't want to see it.

He actually didn't. He just explained his Bambi legs and clear fatigue with it.

Also Wilder blatantly said Fury fought 'as dirty as possible'. And it's possible he didn't even know he did it, since Fury pulled the same trick in both fights, according to video evidence.

Slaps don't act like that in boxing gloves btw.
