I don't think the actual number is listed on-site. You'd probably want Luster for that because I imagine he has the number somewhere but just eyeballing the standings it looks like raw votes averaged around 17-20k per match. Last contest had 150 matches because of the Legends and Loser's Bracket so the answer there is probably 2.55m - 3m. Probably closer to the 3m end if I had to guess.

Its an amazing horror game and was very influential, people dont value horror games much which is sad, this game was groundbreaking and it was really something unique, it also set many youtubers careers, its an important game that deserved to be in the bracket.

Oh darn good game.

I think the biggest snub just from my own opinion would have to be darkest dungeon - since we let so many indie games in. Maybe it's a good thing though as it stood no chance against basically everything.

Stuff like Luigis mansion 3 is a perfect example of an average yet beloved game. Huge fanbase and generally favorable opinions on the game but theres no way it could really be considered in a "best of the decade" list...

How does one submit the bracket after filling it out?

It should be done automatically. As long as you have all 127 matches selected (and optionally the tiebreaker) you should be good.

At the bottom, then you're set. There's no "submit button" if that's what you're asking. It's automatic.

It does say that this is a popularity contest not a contest of best or favorite game. Every game on the list is well known and popular. The "Hidden gems" that are great games nobody played arnt on the list because nobody played them.

I'm going to say Animal Crossing overperforms because of New Horizons and goes further than it really should. I'm also gonna Pokefear HG/SS to the finals.

Glad I'm not the only one who thought that. For me it came down to pokemon vs breath of the wild and I forgot to factor in this sites stronger base for legend of zelda series. oh well not gonna change it now.

As it is 33% of the selection is an RPG of some form and a chunk of the Action Adventure's that make up another 28% of the list have RPG-like features which likely contributed to their inclusion. I don't dislike RPG's, but holy crap are Gamefaqs users in need of some imagination.

If this is a representative list for the best of the decade then it's been by far the shittiest decade in the history of video games through sheer lack of variety.

I haven't played a FIFA game since '14 and it wouldn't be my franchise of choice for socccer. But more sports games rather than the solitary kinda-sports game would've improved the list. Because variety.
