I'm not offended i am perplexed how this can cause an uproar.

I've seen the Strawberry Shortcake Facebook page post a picture with a caption like that, but it was for a white character, x.x . It's probably a generic line for pictures like these.

I assumed this was a smaller portion of the online community. If people on gamefaqs are even bringing it up it's likely other places as well.

Truthfully I didn't go through the whole thread before posting, just saw the OP and commented. Guess I shouldn't have assumed.

This is how I see it. Most people are just pointing out it was a lack of acknowledging the wording on their part, not them being actually racist. It is very much a bigoted term, but it was also - as the topic title said - an accident, and the mentality that SJWs are ruining everything is pretty overblown. Nobody will remember this in a few months.

You can either wrap that around your head, and then make the connection as to why a large amount of people are seeing this tweet in a certain way, or you can continue to type more incredibly useless paragraphs that say absolutely nothing. That's the difficulty of tone over text, I don't think anyone's actually freaking out, just that pointing it out is silly given that it takes more effort to see the illusion of racism in it than it does to just see it as the wholesome message it was intended to be.

Also, pareidolia is just a cool word and I'll jump on any opportunity to use it, I almost went with describing this situation as Quixotic but decided there wasn't enough delusion present to make it fit
