just finished chapter 1

the pacing feels... off? That cutscene of the city being attacked, is that a compilation of clips from something else? Do I need to watch a movie or something to appreciate this properly?

I theoretically dig the bros road trip part of this though. Its cool to be some dudes rolling down the highway blasting tunes from Nier.

Yeah, its the full Royal Edition. It was like a 150 gigs or something crazy like that. I totally forgot this game had a multiplayer mode until I saw that downloading separately.

Does the Royal Edition include the Ardyn DLC? I feel like the Royal Edition came out before that.

Oh hell yeah, I literally stopped playing FFXV 2 weeks after release on chapter 7 or 8 ish, after a point of no return, because my fishing was bugged and I couldnt hook anything lol.

But after they patched it I decided to wait for the DLC / a sale. This owns.

Do you know if the DLC is integrated into the story or it is something you have to choose outside of it?

You didn't hear after all these years that the game is totally unfinished? Do not hope for any semblance of pacing. But a lot of stuff in it is good.

I had some idea that it was unfinished, but also thought they had dealt with some of that issue through updates.
Thats why I waited this long to play the game, I figured I may as well wait for them to finish to whatever degree they were going to do that.

the game that is here is making me super curious about what Versus XIII was originally meant to be

also making me wonder how long it will be until we see a XVI. Do they put out the full VII remake first?

The game was like 25% finished at best at launch. For them to really finish it would've taken maybe 20 more years. The DLCs seem cool but they are really just 1 piece to a very large puzzle.

Looks like they are just taking the unfinished parts and using it in other games, if the KH3 teaser is any indication.
