Yeah yeah 3D tickets.

Dunno about cultural relevance but the 3D hasn't been matched by any movie since and that's an accomplishment.

i remember walking away, from a home viewing of it so not in a theater, feeling let down and disappointed by it.

It's just dreadfully boring and suffers from seeming like it gets high off its own flatulence

This, visually it's still an incredible movie.

Unfortunately home viewings even on 3D TVs don't do it justice. Watching it in 3D IMAX was one of the most amazing theatrical experiences of my life

Live Action Lion King probably beats it. That's the 7th Highest Grossing movie of all time.

I don't think anyone will be watching it in a few years. Even now when there's Lion King merch it's for the animated characters.

If you extent 'culturally insignificant' to mediocre sequels to movies that were culturally significant that list grows a lot too.

Nah, Aladdin is more culturally insignificant.

Aang

Its not the most insignificant, but it is extremely forgettable in retrospect (nobody cared about it like 6 months after it came out). The only thing remarkable about it is how much money it made.

Absolutely no cultural impact, aside from being the 2nd highest grossing movie of all time, having a theme park, dozens of awards, video games, merchandise, fanart, cosplayers, it's own language, porn parody, and 4 sequels on the way.

At this point, the porn parody probably has more of a fan following than the actual movie.

I'd argue that it being the top grossing movie of all time for like a decade automatically disqualifies it from being the most culturally insignificant movie of all time. Even if it didn't leave much impact on most people, it still got an insane number of people in theater seats.

That award probably goes to some forgotten made for tv movie that didn't even make its budget back.
