I used to like him until I followed him on Twitter. He's the IRL version of the "ACKCHYUALLY" meme.

he's awesome. he's one of my favorite science communicators. people take his tweets about pop culture stuff way too seriously. he's just having some fun with the loose interpretation of science that most of pop culture media has. people think he's bashing on the stuff he tweets about or saying that it's trash because it's not scientifically accurate, but that's not the point of it at all. he's even said that the original Star Trek is one of his favorite sci-fi shows ever for the very reason that it doesn't try to be scientifically accurate.

and StarTalk is a great podcast. i've listened to and/or watched many of them, and i've learned a lot from them.

why is that? which time? he's been on JRE like 3 or 4 times. was it something specific he said in the appearance you saw, or are you just blindly against "alt right cueball Joe Rogan" and anyone that has anything to do with him, like a lot of sheeple on the internet right now?
Lol calm down man I like Joe. I'm referring to the one where he seemed like he was on speed or something and constantly interrupted Joe anytime he opened his mouth. I think it was his most recent one.

Is it because he kept "interrupting" Joe? I've seen a lot of people say that about that interview. I think even Joe would disagree with you. He invites people on his podcast because he wants to hear them talk. If you pay attention, he spends much more time listening to his guests than talking to him.

Niel was simply aware of what kind of podcast he was on, and did what he had been invited on the set to do.

He's alright on Joe Rogan and his TV show

I don't follow him on Twitter, but everyone acts like an asshole on Twitter so I wouldn't hold that against him TOO much

People dont like him on Twitter because he "ruins" movies by talking about how they contradict science. Such as informing us that BB8 wouldn't be able to travel through sand because he rolls.

Literally nothing to screech about, but people do.

That episode was cringe. Even Joe was literally cringing during it. You could see Joe getting visibly upset with it. And the fact that Neil acted like he wasn't doing anything wrong really put me off. I've seen the other appearances on the show and they weren't nearly that bad.

I still like Neil alright and would like to see him back on the show again, but a little less... Speedy.

That explains why some CEmen would certainly hate him, yeah.

I think I like him even more hearing that. I love shitposters

I'll have to rewatch it some time and see if I agree. From what I remember in that interview, Joe seemed pretty interested through the majority of it.

Yeah that may be so but the cringe stood out the most for me lol I barely remember what they (he) actually talked about. Joe was at least very patient during it and didn't jump down his throat.
