You finally reach the overworld after escaping Midgar, and the first town you reach, youre forced to sit through a 1.5 - 2 hour flashback scene with absolutely no battles. If there are any battles, Cloud gets automatically killed and the computer Sephiroth takes over....
im pretty sure its the longest time you have to wait before entering the overworld in any FF game, and then youre forced to sit through this??? --- Impressive. Except if you had known what you were looking for, you would've seen it written on my dorm room window ... Copied to Clipboard!

Its not that bad
you get to see just how strong seph is compared to your current strength which is neat and towards the end are some of the cooler set pieces in the game the overworld in FF7 is pretty barebones after all --- Lemonheads ... Copied to Clipboard!

That flash back scene is amazing and well directed if you notice Everytime Sephiroth addresses "Cloud" he's looking at the masked Soldier who isn't "Cloud"

As a kid I hated it but I also had no patience and wanted to explore. Now its fine, because it is a very important part of the game. Though if I could I would probably skip it but its not like its the end of the world.

Its a drag if youve played the game multiple times. But my first time playing through, this was one games highlights for me.

As a kid, I don't remember it being boring at all.
I remember being sucked into the story so much, I didn't care if there weren't crazy non-stop battles or anything. --- Offensive (according to GameFaqs): sexually explicit, gory, or other obscene content.
