I had pretty low expectations, but it made a ton of money and some people said it was in their top 5 Marvel entries, so I gave it a shot. Brie Larson is not destined to be a charismatic or admirable hero. She has no wit, no magnetism, no range...at least, the character she plays doesn't. I hear tell that she's a phenomenal actress in "Room," but I've never seen it and I don't have any interest in seeing it. All I can comment on is the portrayal of Captain Marvel, and she's really, really subpar. Marvel succeeds because it has near-perfect casting and solid chemistry between all the major players........except Captain Marvel. Every time she interacted with somebody in Endgame, I felt like it was painfully awkward. I didn't get that feeling from any other character in the MCU. She's the very first main hero casting choice whom I feel is a genuinely bad fit for the series. --- I write Naruto Fanfiction.
