I keep taking ibuprofen like every 5-6 hours. Fuck this sucks.

If youre in pain, tell your dentist and you can try to get moved up.

Is it the bottom ones or the top ones? The top ones they can just yank, so you might be able to just walk in and get it pulled.

Thanks! The ibuprofen I'm taking isn't enough. I hope they can give me something stronger. I've been like this for like 3 days now.

they will prolly offer you vicodin. should be a good time, and should deal with the pain pretty damn well.

i have shitty teeth and ive had too many situations with oral pain. in my experience, alcohol does absolutely nothing to dull the pain. youre just drunk and your mouth hurts.

Most of the pain comes from infection. See a dentist and get a prescription for antibiotics and painkillers until you can have them removed. Until you can see a dentist try gargling with warm salt water and take ibuprofen to combat the swelling.

Try using Oragel on the stop as needed until you can get to a dentist.

I found Ibuprofen to be sucktastic... idk, maybe all the NSAIDs have different reactions with different people.

I find pretty much only Tylenol works for actual pains, with the others being better for general soreness.

when I had similar issues I used both ibuprofen and paracetamol.
it took care of the pain most of the time, and they're safe to combine.
I did have a somewhat scary moment when I tripped and hit a wall with the top of my head while on both pain killers, I didn't feel a thing but knew I was supposed to have a terrible headache.

If you're in a ton of pain a dentist will definitely make room for you. You might be stuck there for hours, but someone will see you.

Booze definitely helped a lot when my lower back was hurt. It got to the point where ibiprofen wasn't helping

You could try that chloraseptic throat spray, if possible just spray it directly on the tooth/gum area and it should numb it for a bit, or Oralgel as someone said earlier.

It will also affect his blood thickness, which is not a good idea before or after surgery.

I'm gonna pick up antibiotics and stronger pain relievers they prescribed.

In a few weeks they'll let me know if my insurance will cover it and I'll get my wisdom removed then.

I also have another issue with a tooth or two and will probably need a crown or implant. I'll need to see what's the best option for me. I heard crowns suck ass so I'll probably get the other option. It's going to be expensive because it will only be partially covered by the insurance.

Fuck my wallet. But it'll be worth it.

Sounds like it was badly infected? Good thing you had them removed, but why was it postponed so long that it could get so far?

Yeah even if you pay for a root canal+crown that doesn't last forever in, about 20ish years most crowns have to be removed and the tooth has to be pulled anyways.
