Episode 5 had a battle so epic that it could have been the final battle of the series in any normal magical girl anime, and episode 6 was unusually light-hearted despite the girls still trying to recover from the battle. I did't like it as much and didn't care for it for years(aside from the OST) until I noticed its prequel LN was getting a movie a few years ago. Now I guess I'm a big fan after reading and watching everything, but the first season is probably my least favorite part of the whole thing. Essentially, if Madoka Magica was a magical girl war story, Yuki Yuna was a magical girl post-war PTSD story. I don't know how true that is, but considering that the big "war" in Yuki Yuna seems to have ended in episode 5, it at least seems possible that it could be going down that route. FL81 posted...
