I'd move to a new house seriously.

We actually bought a new house and are in the process of moving. This is another reason why I don't want to have bad blood... Don't want these neighbors to affect me selling the house.

So I called the non emergency police number and asked for advice. They told me they can come now and talk to the neighbor for me. I said I would rather catch them red handed, and they said whatever I want to do, they'll be there. I told them I'll text her an ultimatum, that I will call the police or tow the car if she parks in my driveway tomorrow. They said that's fine, and I told them thank you, and to expect a call from me again tomorrow evening lol.

I'd park behind her and block her in, then force her to have to come ask me to move my car and ask her why the hell shes in my driveway

If it was a consistent problem I would definitly tow the car(I'd warn them first)

I had a neighbor that did something similar once. Theyd usually do it at night and then be gone early in the morning. It still irritated the fuck out of me because we weren't friends and they never asked. Also it would often wake me up as theyd get in/out of their car.

One time I had the day off and set up garbage cans behind them right after they pulled in and were still in their car. I had just made a pb&j so I went inside and then came back out, tipped my can on it's side and sat on it while menacingly eating a sandwich and staring at them.

We sat there staring at eachother for like 30 minutes before they finally came out, apologized and said they'd move their car if I let them. I brought it up to a neighbor that's on good terms with both of us later. It turned out that the guy would smoke weed in his car after work in my driveway and hang out in his car for like an hour every night because his wife didn't allow him to smoke. She apparently couldn't see his car if it was in my driveway.

He moved like a month after that. He rented, so he's someone else's problem now.

When this happened to me at my previous home, cops told me they cant do anything if it is on my private driveway, only if it was parked on street blocking my driveway. They told me I have to get it towed instead.

Tell her that you know she continues to do it, and the next time you see it parked on your driveway she's getting towed. Threaten her with trespassing charges too if you want. You're not the asshole here.

I'd like to say that this wouldn't bother me, but I know it would lol. I had a neighbor parking in my side yard for awhile (I'm on a corner lot), it turned out to be his daughter and I just told her to stop and she did.

He never has said a word to me, and the dude is a Sheriff's deputy

So what do you think is the better option here when I catch her red handed tomorrow (because I fully intend to come home earlier than normal):
1) Knock on their door and tell her (or her family member) to move the car,
2) Call the police and meet the police at my house then have the police deal with it, or
3) Just call the tow truck company and just have it towed?

Option (2) seems the most non-confrontational with police backup, but has the risk of her moving the vehicle out before the police and I get there.

Threaten to tow. If you do get the police involved you have video proof. I wouldnt go that route though.

Ok, I was correct on the chemical, but it has to go into the oil instead. Might as well just drain the oil and make her think there's an oil leak at that point as I doubt you can access the oil fill. Though it'd still probably jack it up in enough quantity.

Just tow the damn thing.Back in DC, illegaly parking in a private parking spot was a $250 fine in addition to whatever the towing company charged. I would look if your city/town/etc has similar regs.

If this happened here the cops wouldn't do anything and you'd have to pay a company to tow it away. Then your neighbors would retaliate and the cops won't do anything if it's less than $1,000 damage.

That whole family is weird. I have a fence around the backyard, and their daughter likes to climb over the fence and play in my yard, or literally open my fence and enter my backyard. I've asked them to stop multiple times, and they haven't.

Lock the gate and put spikes or barbed wire on the fence.

Option 1: Go out there when you see her parked in the driveway and let ALL the air out of one tire (to start). Just let it out. Don't damage the tire. Just stick something in the stem to let it all come out.

Option 2: Park your vehicle (and/or another one from a friend) ACROSS your driveway to block her from parking in it.

Option 3: Arson (Just kidding....or am I?)

We have the same kind thing going on in this neighborhood. The one family that parks in the alley behind their house has probably 6 cars and only space for 4 or 5. So they've taken to using a spot that a relative dug out for their apartment building that their tenants usually used. This is also why I've kept my back lot completely overgrown, complete with decent sized trees already springing up. It also helps that I recently found out that I actually do NOT own that portion of the lot. So the joke's on the city if they try doing the whole blight bullshit again this year telling me I HAVE to clean it.

Anyway we got new neighbors on one side of us recently. They have been using part of my driveway and sidewalk to drive right up in front of the house (think they're renting). Not only that but they put out a trash can full of LOOSE trash (including cigarette butts) last weekend. Guess who had to shovel up and throw out THEIR garbage? It all went across the street or in the road as I REFUSE to pick their shit up.

So yeah, I feel you TC. That's why I think tomorrow I'm going to city hall and finding out what it takes to put in a No Parking Driveway sign and a No Parking Between Signs sign on the other end of the frontage of my property cuz the gypsy commune down the block uses our curb as a loading and unloading zone for their big van sometimes too.

Reading articles about this and it gets confusing. Apparently you can block them in with your car, but you are not allowed to block their access to the road, otherwise they can call the police on you for obstructing access to the road.... How do you even block them in without blocking access to the road?!

Police. Show them the footage. Have them talk to them, maybe see if youre in your rights to press charges for trespassing or destruction of property for your lawn.

1 final warning, preferably from the cops. Next
time tow it and press charges (if you can). Just so you're covered. These people are trash. Just cover your bases before you f*** them like they deserve
