I mean sure, but things already feel like they've ramped up 7 days into 2020. Bolsonaro is a bit quiet, but Morrison is getting annihilated in the news for his tone-deaf, clueless handling of our bushfires and is sure to step up his self-congratulatory wank when the fires start going out, and Trump bombed a general who he invited to Iraq for negotiations and has threatened to bomb over 50 places in Iran after America put one of their top generals in the ground out of nowhere.

If we don't vote these pricks out, we're going to lose more of our fundamental freedoms and we might even end up in a war that America outright started. There's no pussyfooting around and saying it was the Muslims, pretending like American interference didn't play a part in this conflict like with the Taliban learning their tricks from the CIA - it's undeniable that America is the bad guy in this situation. Morrison wants to weaken and/or repeal the Racial Discrimination Act and several fairness laws that prevent workplaces from discriminating based on sexual preference, which will set the stage for his Religious Discrimination Bill which will allow businesses to refuse service based on their religion.

Things started in the 2010's and have only gotten worse. But it's 2020 and beyond where these plans will grow further until we're all completely fucked.

Dude isn't even a politician any more, to my knowledge, but Nigel Farage deserves a mention too. He's a slippery knob who spends his days insulting the queen, trolling people about Brexit (which he outright started with his "Independence Party") and just generally being one of the most hateable British people alive.
