He tried fighting Skeletron, Eater of Worlds and Eye of Cthulhu all at once but ran out of time then later realized he needed an item from them and had to wait until nightfall. So he talked up the crowd and they read donations to pass the time.

Yeah, he didn't get specific drop to until late in the night so the mechanical bosses despawned and he had to wait 15 minutes for another try, then for some reason the cultists didn't spawn and he had to stop eventually.

Yeah that happened later, but the first time it looked like all 3 non-mech. At least from what I saw of Skeletron. Didn't look like Prime. (tbh I can't remember if you can fight all 3 non-mech at the same time)

God I wish they'd stop with these stupid fucking interviews. No one watches this shit for these dumb interviews, especially the ones with non streamers. The ones with streamers would be fine if they were kept short, but they are too long and awkward. It's fine to show the prizes and such, but do we really need a 20 minute interview with a goofy looking tech guy? Also the length between runs is too long. I swear they got just as many games done when the event was just the weekend just a few years ago. AGDQ/SGDQ was so much better when it was smaller and the only thing that mattered was showing great speed runs and raising money for charity. I mean the fact that they can't even swear is completely idiotic considering so many of the games are rated M and have massive amounts of gore and cursing.

The bigger issue imo is the sketchy ass org they donate to for agdq.

I haven't looked into PCF, but I've seen other say the same thing. Another problem is the bigger the event gets and the more staff and things they add to it the less money actually goes to the charity as no one there is working for free. I'd love to see what Mike Uyama takes home from these events now that they're making millions of dollars in donations, not to mention all the sponsors and Twitch subscriptions.

tvgBadger is pretty great. I watch him all the time and he's just as energetic on stream as he was at GDQ.

I feel bad that his run died during the marathon, he worked hard for the game to make it to AGDQ in the first place. But he had a lot of audience approval it seems, so I hope he can return for future runs.

2 hours 20 mins into a Zelda 1, 2 and ALTTP relay race so far, estimate is 3 hours and they're at LTTP already

and now we're at that part of the event. If you're a REALLY big Final Fantasy 8 fan then the next run is for you. An any% co-op relay. This run will take upwards of 9 hours.

Seems kinda sketchy as well. I have to agree about the long intermissions and interviews after every run. But they are looking to stretch it out for more $$$.

Mike Uyama is a zero, dweeb and socially inept. Dude is definitely taking home a salary.

I'm watching the fallout run, and it's actually really fun.

Maybe the person doing the runs is more entertaining this year.

I remember watching a Fallout 4 run in a previous year that was dry and overall quite boring with teleports to the main quest stuff, playing a bit with the triggers to skip things(the mildly interesting part), and was just sort of over.

Shmups make no sense to me, like this game. What's the players hit box? What's the hit box on the projectiles? Hes appears to get hit but nothing happens.

The hitbox is the small circle at the center of the character sprite, and for the bullets its usually the "shiny" part of the bullet inside and not the colorful part around it, it's really not that hard to understand if you ever play any shmup, they're all similar, hell, i think enter the gungeon uses the same mechanics.

Guy was down to his last life and last bomb when he beat the game, I honestly didn't think he was going to make it.

How you track all that stuff is beyond me.
