I don't see any live ones any more >_>.

I'm still working on Odyssey myself, was going to try to finish it last week but I felt like no matter how much I played I wasn't making any progress.

Perhaps you've got the wrong user? I don't think I've ever been accused of spoiling something, and I don't remember anything of the sort. What was it about?

Should do Odyssey TC. Story isnt as good as Origins, but combat is better and the world is much bigger. Plus Kassandra is bae.

The world is too big in Odyssey and there are too many side quests to get hitched on.

That's the problem, Odyssey doesn't seem like it has what made Origins so good for me. Bayek was a fantastic protagonist, and while exploration was very fun, it was Bayek that made it all worthwhile. The constellation conversations with his son, his motivation for doing everything, his relationship with Aya, just his amazing voice acting and personality. He's just extremely likable. So I enjoyed exploring the world as him.

Choosing a protagonist and having dialogue options already comes across as too WRPG. I'm planning on playing as the female kassandra and hope it captures the magic of Origins, so here's hoping.

Kassandra is awesome, I love her character. The dialogue options are great actually, especially because quests never play out how you intend them to. It makes you question your actions a lot of times. In this respect the game is a bit better designed than Origins. If someone tells you to sneak into a building and steal something, but you wind up killing people and leaving bodies behind, then you might wind up fudging the quest up altogether - you'll still get the rewards, but you might find that the person who hired you gets killed later on, or stuff like that.

That is pretty interesting. To be honest when it comes to those types of choices in games, I generally just choose to always be a goody 2-shoes and do what the game expects to be the "right" choice, and then in another playthrough go all the way to the opposite extreme and just destroy everything in sight.

With games nowadays though it's just the one playthrough, especially with how long I'm told Odyssey is (which I don't mind, if it's anything like Origins I'll enjoy those 30 minute bursts of just doing a couple of sidequests/question marks, and save the story missions for long gameplay sessions)

I liked the world better in Odyssey (and tbh, it probably is too big), but I may be biased. I loved studying Greek stuff when I was younger, so to travel throughout Ancient Greece was a lot of fun for me. More fun than traversing the desert tbh.

Also the DLC was super fun. Never played the Origins DLC though, but my roommate said it was fun too.

It's funny, I enjoyed the Egyptian setting more because Ancient Egypt always fascinated me more. Also, I *do* like the Greek figures and folklore they included but it doesn't seem to be as predominant as in Origins. Or maybe it's just kind of diluted because of all the other shit.

Damn now I want to boot it up and try to make some progress on it -__.

@sktgamer_13dude also you should play the Curse of the Pharaohs DLC, it has some really amazing imagery. The other DLC is pretty short and is basically just AC fan service, not as interesting imo.

Ill be honest; mainly played them because my friend game shares with me and hes the one who bought everything. Ill look into it though.

Still technically need to finish the second DLC for Odyssey though. I think Im on the 3rd/last part. The Atlantis one is beautiful and really goes into more of the Greek god lore, which is one of my favorite things about Ancient Greece.

Oh yeah, I forgot about the biggest thing that got me into Origins in the first place; Ancient Egypt. By far my favorite setting, it was everything I ever wanted and more.

Heck Origins is actually what got me to pick up the AC series after I dropped it like a decade ago. It was all worth it to explore pyramids, travel the nile, just really soak up anciet egptian lore.

Lol I had the same thing. Had tried AC1 multiple times and was just too bored. After Origins I went back and played through the whole series.

Origins DLC is amazing, as was mentioned. Curse of the Pharaohs is like its own game. And I liked the other DLC too, it's not bad. No Curse of the Pharaohs of course, but good nonetheless.

I also like ancient greece culture, so I'm expecting the world exploring to be fun too. But it's the combination of likable characters and fun world that makes the game enjoyable, so I'm hoping for good things.

I tried doing BF for the first time after doing Origins/Odyssey (before my buddy bought the Odyssey DLC) and I didnt like how the old controls were >_>

Its hard going from those games to the older games for me.

They're different - they all have this reliance on the same type of beat-em-up control scheme that you'd find in the Mad Max game or the Batman: Arkham X games. You do get used to them though, despite the simpler combat mechanics.

Like most people I lost interest after Brotherhood. I played AC 1 first so didn't really mind it, although I expect it would hold up pretty terribly now what with all the improvements the series has had since.

Black Flag was the one that made me stop playing the series back in 2018.
At least now I may finish it.

Um what, Black Flag was literally a return to form, such a fantastic game. Before Origins, I didn't think the series would ever reach the level that BF set, with its self awareness, amazing pirate theme, finally making sailing in a game fun, etc.

By the way, one thing I wish I figured out early on - you can set up your Arrows to autocraft if you go through the Inventory menu and enable it. This is *so* useful for taking on certain bosses and stuff - as long as you have the wood in your inventory it'll just automatically repopulate your quiver.
