What the fuck is this garbage?

This is true cringe.

It is objectively extremely smartly written, but I'll admit it took me until about halfway through the first act to "get it." I don't mean that in a you just don't understaaaand way, I mean the tone of the show and the self-awareness of some of the stuff that comes off as cringier at the jump. Kinda had to get into it.

The wordcraft throughout as well as the use of recurring musical themes and motifs is just fucking legendary, though, and I'm still catching new stuff a couple years on.

The choruses are good and catchy but yeah all the rap stuff just leaves me scratching my head. It's so corny.

It took a while for Hamilton to grow on me. But honestly its GENIUS.

If you dont like broadway shows though...youll see the rapping stuff as cheesy I guess. I kind of thought that at first until I started listening to the story.

Honestly the story is better than the music IMO. Its fucking heart wrenching.
