I have a CD. I love the music on it - I paid upwards of $15 for this disc, and I can listen to it any time I want granted that I have the equipment to read the data on the disc and play it as music. One day I don't have the disc or the means to play it, and any alternatives like Spotify will shuffle the CD's music tracks and not allow me to enjoy the music in the order it's intended to be listened in. The only way I can enjoy this music is to listen to a YouTube playlist, or to watch a 40+ minute "Full Album" YT video.

I bought the music. My money went towards the record company and the artist, I own a copy of their music and have paid for the right to listen to it. There has been a prior transaction to access a small selection of musician's songs in a specific order, and there is no ill will or active attempts of thievery going on. The YouTube video/s are not monetized so the uploader makes no money from the upload. By all accounts, I have paid for the album and are not enjoying the music to the disadvantage of the band or record label, since I've already paid them for access to their music.

Is it immoral to listen to a YouTube upload of an album you've paid for in the past, to supplement an occasion in which you're not able to access that copy that you own?

I would say that's fine morally. I wouldn't feel bad listening to a song on YouTube that I bought the CD of.

Who puts this much thought into listening to music on youtube?
And like others said, any video on youtube that has music gets automatically tagged and copyrighted to the record label of the artist and song.

It's the same scenario as buying a PS4 game, but pirating it on Xbox1, or vice versa. You own the license on PS4, but does that entitle you a free xbox version?

Why would that be immoral
How is that any different than if you yourself ripped the songs from the CD to stream it/play it from your computer without the disc?
