I won't count any of the Cars movies since I never had high hopes for them but my choice would be Brave, I was expecting so much more for it and when I left the theater, I felt "eh that was ok I guess".

I was just gonna say Cars 2. The first one wasn't that bad despite it being a DreamWorks quality film about talking cars but then the sequel was about fucking Mater doing spy stuff.

I guess Good Dinosaur would be my answer. I'm 110% sure I saw this movie and I can't remember anything about it.

The Good Dinosaur just wasn't very good in my opinion. Cars 2 is still okay in its own right, just not up to the impeccable standard they had been setting until that point.

Inside Out squandered its concept and went for the easy, low-hanging jokes and gags.

The existence of the Cars franchise was disappointing to me tbh. A lot of years dedicated to that having multiple movies when I would have preferred them make literally anything else.

That looked terrible but when I googled it just meow I was surprised at the cast. Just goes to show all the talent in the world cant fix garbage.

And one of the actors was in Laser Cats so thats saying something.

The one that did the least for me was The Good Dinosaur, but I didn't have any expectations for that one.

One that I expected to be better than it was, though, was Cars. Especially Cars 2, which felt more like one of those direct-to-DVD Disney sequels that inexplicably focuses on a side character more than the main character.

I can agree that it didn't need to exist, and a lot of the characters were wasted or misused, but there was a lot more to it than I was expecting. The "villain" was surprisingly compelling.

The Incredibles, because everyone acted like it was so great and then I saw it and it was just generic and boring.

this is the one that caught me off guard, I had almost the opposite effect. I didnt have super high expectations but was surprised at how many risks it took and the various levels of emotion in it. Definitely the most surprising of their films to me

I still haven't seen Toy Story 4 but I have been meaning to. Toy Story 3 was just such an emotional high point, I'm interested to see if Pixar has any new tricks up their sleeve for this one.

It really just felt like a cash in on Toy Story but that's what I said about 3 and it is probably my favorite of the bunch.

I went into 4 not knowing what to expect, and it took a while to grow on me, but it really did. The side-plots feel kinda like filler, but the main plot line with Woody is surprisingly good.

Toy Story 4. When I heard it was getting good reviews I got excited that it might actually be decent, but it was incredibly mediocre to me.

Cars 2 made me angry at how bad it was. I'm the only one in the world who liked the first one, so felt betrayed when the second one ended up being bad.

Brave was a disappointment.

• she's not a fighter, she's just a tomboy
• she creates the conflict within the story and fails to resolve it (her mother saves her)
• the interactions between Merida and her mother were well-done, but were the highlight of the film. Yeah, let's go to the movies and see those exciting mom chats.

There were so many things they could have done differently. They could've pulled the trigger on making her chubby. They could've pulled the trigger on making her a lesbian. They could've pulled the trigger on making her a female action hero. (There is Mulan, but let's be honest. That was Eddie Murphy's movie.)

Instead, they gave us a character who looked like a muppet and whined a lot. But, hey, she fired an arrow and turned down a suitor. That makes her film more worthy of an Oscar than Wreck-It Ralph.

Brave, I've yet to be able to sit through in one sitting.

Both Brave and TGD don't feel like Pixar. They feel like B tier Disney.

In terms of what I was hoping for and what I got, Incredibles 2. I was hoping for so much, absolutely loved the original, and I didn't like the sequel at all. Jack-Jack was funny, but not enough to carry the movie.

I'm not to keen on a lot of the earlier ones (Bug's Life, Monsters Inc, Nemo), but Brave is the one that downroght disappointed me. I don't hate it or anything.

Also I bought the 4K steelbook for like, the cost of a sandwich, but it turned out to be all dented and stuff. I can only blame myself, but that was also a way in which the movie disappointed me.
