As in, things that wouldn't work according to previously established things in lore?

First example I noticed in TROS was tie fighters don't have hyperdrives.....

Also, it's well established in both old and new canon that you can't my lightspeed jumps while in a gravity well, so that gets both TFS and TROS.

The TIEs in TROS are new models that DO have hyperdrives, though. They're not the same old TIEs.

Certain kinds did. Usually ones being used by higher ranking troops or dignitaries had shielding and hyperdrives built in

As for lightspeed skipping, I got the sense that it was a progression in hyperdrive tech since we see some folks make jumps within a gravity well in 7 and 8.

Far as I know, the only fighters they have with hyperdrives are experimental or limited production ones, like Vader's fighter.

Could be. I don't think we see an interdictor any later than rebels, which is the main source of the issue.

Doesn't solve the hyper drives though, the main reason fighters don't have them is they're meant to be short range and disposable.

Can't imagine Kylo would have been lucky enough to find a functional Tie Fighter with a hyperdrive on the broken / sunk death star to get to the Palpatine planet at the end of ROS.

They made everything too close together. Both The Last Jedi and ROS imposed unnecessarily short deadlines on their plots which then made traveling across the galaxy in seconds necessary.

One of the great things about Star Wars is that whatever complaint you have, it can be explained away with either tech bullhonkey or Force bullhonkey. :)

These are the biggest continuity issues for me. Anything Force related, whatever, it's not like we've ever had a definitive and exhaustive treatment of what the Force was capable of.

But even if we assume these are the results of advancements in hyperdrive technology, the improvements are so insanely big that we deserve at least some sort of explanation about how the breakthroughs happened.

All of the fighters having hyperdrive isn't as big of a deal for me because that's a reasonable extrapolation from previously existing tech.

Force healing for me. It makes it seem like you can repair lightsaber damage organically and save someones life. Contradicts what the PT and OT setup. Luke couldve just force healed Vader/Anakin if he didnt evaporate into the force.

Perhaps saving the biological parts, but his machine parts that kept him alive was too fried.
Perhaps if Luke had been a technomage.

It's also canon that different force users are better in some talents and worse in others. So it's reasonable to assume that Luke just wasn't very talented with healing.

Rey and Kylo talking telepathically.

If anyone should have been able to do that, it would have been Anakin with Luke.

Yet he could only sense Luke, not talk in his head.

Old Star Wars: You have to except that people die, and you can't always save the ones you love.

New Star Wars: And then I just transferred some Force energy and boom, healed. Shame Anakin didn't know this when he found his mom LMAO oh well.

That's explained through them being a diad.

What does that mean? I'm sure they'll make a comic book or something about it.

I don't know anything about it other than what's stated in the movie.

It hasn't been seen in generations, and there is some sort of power to it, and it allowed the shenanigans between with Reylo.

To be honest I didn't see the movie but I read all the leaks and honestly I would have been fine by this if they sold to narrative that it drains your life force each time. Like throughout the movie Rey gets weaker and weaker because she's using what would be considered a forbidden art but no they didn't try to sell it like that. It's just she can force heal because reasons and nothing else.

And there's no way they didn't kick up enough dust when they crashed to start a global winter
And there's no way they didn't further break into even smaller parts when they crashed
And there's no way Rey was able to navigate the ruins to get to the Emperor's throne room that fast
And there's no way Finn and Poe were able to cross that ocean with those massive ass waves
And there's no way that they were able to find Rey so easily
And there's no way Kylo found an intact Tie Fighter to fly away in after Rey stole his
And there's no way etc. etc.
