I've heard the series is tough to get into if it's your first time seeing the franchise. Assumes you know the basics already and such.

Witcher 3 Yennefer & Triss are hotter than those two butterface actresses on the show. And they got point elbows.

Honestly it's kinda dumb how they ride on it being a portrayal of the book when it seems very evident that Henry Cavill is trying really hard to imitate video game Geralt. It's pretty obvious it's a mix of the two which makes complete sense.

Yeah. If I remember correctly the book geralt is much less physically impressive. Not particularly handsome, small in stature.

Hearing people say it was based on the books but then asking if Triss was black in the books was some good trolling months ago.

That being said I had no issue with all the diversity in the show, which is a real compliment to the writing I think cause I thought for sure they'd somehow draw a lot of attention to it or something.

Sapowski called her "red headed" in an interview and Yennefer calls her a ginger.

While she is nowhere near as red as the games portray, she still has Auburn hair.

And her description in the book is absolutely nothing like the show, and the actress is horribly cast.

They are still largely different characters even with the superficial stuff, although I certainly wouldn't be too surprised if Sapwoski had seen him before.

Yeah which is really annoying, it's cool Cavill likes the Witcher but he's too big, and doesn't move the way he should in fights. He's too stationary are not dancing around his opponents like the book describes.

Eh my wife knows very little about it besides Yennefer and she is tracking pretty well.

It's not like the books themselves explained things in super detail and the games just kinda jump around too.

Yes, and each side says people always complain about this, but never complain about this. When both extremes are hypocrites. There are still people outraged Scarlett Johansson isn't treated as a pariah cause ghost in the shell. They ignore that she could easily be in any body and the fact that it is a big budget movie and Scarjo is the biggest name with no Asian actress a remotely close draw. I wish it was as close to the source material as possible, but it made sense. Something like Death Note does have a case cause they purposely didn't go after Asian actors, which was really odd, but it was weird they called it whitewashed when many other races replaced them.

To be fair, Game Triss is the Waifu-est for Laifu-est.

Yeah, I actually found Yen's actress pretty good. Triss, tho, is probably the only casting I really don't like. >_>
