These people really need to get over themselves and realize things cant always go the way they want it to.

imagine thinking any film series spanning 9 films could stay consistently great.

how about you just respect the fact that it made it this far? Jesus fucking Christ

Harry Potter, Pink Panther and Planet of the Apes come to mind. Here is a thought. If you've run out of ideas and don't know how to make a good film it's time to stop.

Imagine being so beaten down by life that you actually consider this a valid argument.

Even the less than stellar Marvel movies are better than most of the Star Wars movies at this point

I might actually feel bad for them if they didn't keep throwing money at Disney to see the newest SW movie on opening weekend anyway.

"Why, oh why, don't they listen to us when we say these movies are terrible?!"
Umm...maybe b/c your mouth and your wallet are saying different things, and guess which one Disney cares about?

Star Wars movies have always been consistently terrible, though, so this should come as no surprise.

MCU is a freak of nature though
MCU was managed by one guy and his team, someone who knew the comics and cared about the stories, and had a long term plan for where things would/could go. The movies were made by different people, but there was a centralized group overseeing it all to make sure nothing really stupid was put in that would not only sink that movie but also significantly contradict stuff planned for later.

It didn't succeed where SW failed because of magic...

Star Wars was poorly planned out, even the orginal 3 had holes in it. It is held in a higher esteem then it really should be.

I think it's an issue with the time in which each film is produced. They're putting too much of Earth in a galaxy far, far away.
