It's that time of season when everyone looks back on 2019 for their end-of-year rankings and whatnot, so I thought people might like to share their favourite song discoveries from VGMC13 and BOST5! And hey, you can throw in RtVGM, vgmgg, and those ranking threads too.
I'll stick to ranking my top 10 - this is where it becomes apparent that newcomers have the privilege of way more discoveries to choose from...anyway, I'm happy to have been introduced to such great music thanks to the board! 1. 2. 3. 4. 5. 6. But this is the one that I saw first on B8 and opened that door for me. Invader Girl is the big one from last VGMC that stands out, but like 70% of my VGM comes from B8 somehow so there's far too many to individually list

New favorites from BOST: (not necessarily in order)
PSMD - Gentle Slope Cave PSMD - Second Dark Matter Battle Kirby's Return to Dreamland - Vs. Magalor Touhou 11 - Last Remote Fez - Glitch Fire Emblem Fates - Lost in Thoughts All Alone Ar Nosurge - Class::XIO_PROCEED Mega Man 10 - Sheep Man Smash Ultimate - Battle! (Zinnia) Super Paper Mario - Pit of Trials Something like that. And that's only counting music that participated in BOST... there are many others that I love from the setlists. I am probably extremely bad about keeping track of best finds through the guessing games, and I'm gonna still hold back on simply revealing what songs would be at the top of my ranking topic (I still fully plan on having that whole thing finished & posted before the next VGMC !! ! I've just been facing at least 3 layers of anxiety trash over the past few months, the largest of with are now "somewhat" dealt with) but as for my favs through this year's VGMC & BOST (was gonna also say the group compatibility ranking thing but none of those songs made the list whoops I still gotta get back to that too)
Aliens Go Home Run - City Aliens Go Home Run - Suburbs Theresa - cirropod Off-Peak - Panopticon Finely Crafted Fetish Film - Grosstown Traffic Danganronpa 2 - Kill Command Zero Divide 2 - Power Glide Dynamix - Nanohemu Eschatos - MASSIVE X Das Geheimnis der Happy Hippo-Insel - Area 5 I can imagine my tastes are indecisive enough & I've really heard Plenty of great discoveries over this past year I've returned here that I can probably think about a lot of things I'd swap out even just tomorrow but for now I'm happy with this list. Don't look too hard at the order. I mostly wanted to limit each game/series to one song but I wound up liking AGHR so much it gets too slots because those two are so good oops --- luigi says: "and" ... Copied to Clipboard!
