Senate will remove Trump?

What do you folks think?

I personally doubt it.

Not if McConnell is going to trample all over his oath of office and not let it happen naturally like it needs to.

A chance? Sure, like 2% or so. Insignificant to the point of being pointless, but it's there.

No. We will probably see 3 or 4 republican senators vote to remove and that's being generous.

There is a chance. It's a very small chance right now, but chances can grow or shrink.

only if we can find a way to keep Mitch's lips attached to Trump's ass during the entire trial so he can't say anything....unfortunately even he will let go for a few seconds to get a few dumb words in and hold up the entire process.

Republicans are probably going to want to drag it out and call as many witnesses as they can. Support for removal has been dropping

No. As it stands 90% of Republicans are against impeachment. Many of them say their minds cannot be changed. Of the ones who say their minds could be changed, if you ask for an example of what could change their mind the responses are things like "actual crimes"

In order for removal to have a real chance at success, that 90% anti-impeachment statistic has to drop to 40% or so within the next few days.

Trump's fanatics are crazy and loyal to him.

If repubs turn on him, they lose that.

Their seat is more important than the constitution

Since when does the Constitution state that the Senate must vote in the affirmative for removal just because the House passes Articles of Impeachment?

It is an often overlooked point that there's literally no obligation in the Constitution to have an impartial trial for impeachment.

There's a chance of just about anything, but given the impeachment vote was along partisan lines, I'd say you have better luck finding a million dollar lotto ticket lying in the gutter.

They lost Democrats in the House just like they will lose Manchin in the Senate.

Both chambers with bipartisan support against impeachment.
