hooray, im sure this wont be another one of the most devastating experiences of my life.

the first one spoke to me on a level that is pretty uncommon for any form of media. some of you are aware that i have a sister who suffers from psychosis and regularly hears voices. i woke up many many nights in my childhood to the sound of her screaming at them. hellblade captured the feeling about as well as i can imagine anyone could. im pretty excited for a sequel, and also dreading it at the same time.

setting looks like it takes place in iceland. open plains and mountains with no trees. theres 4 big mythological icelandic figures, and one of them is a rock giant if i remember right.

weird to see my girl praying/singing to tyr, a norse god, when she spent the entire last game killing norse gods

Loved that game. Microsoft acquired the ninja theory, though. Hope that game makes it over to PS4 or PS5, otherwise I probably won't play it.

I should really stop slacking and buy the first one. I really don't need any new games, but it's one that's been piquing my interest since it came out. I just never actually take the plunge whenever a sale rolls around.

Of course I did, the sequel does not look to be similar at all though. Similarities in the combat, but that's about it.

it, and all other xbox games stuido games are coming for PC as well

also, literally nothing about the gameplay has been announced. i feel like it would be a weird move for them to deviate from what has already won them awards.

Ninja theory suck to me for the most part but they do have the odd gems like Heavenly Sword. Can't say I've played Hellblade but it looks interesting. I won't be buying a Xbox Series X though so meh.

I'd had this game in my "cart" on Amazon for quite some time. Not sure what prompted me to do that? Either way, this trailer made me pull the trigger and buy it. It'll be here tomorrow. I know NOTHING about the game other than the what the original trailer showed.

Second this. Not only is the sound design absolutely phenomenal in this game, but it's integral to the gameplay and narrative.
