I try not to spend more than $29-25 per month mostly on Madden or NBA 2k.

Those are some odd poll options.

I've only ever put money into two games:
Star Trek Online: Around $350 over 6 years.
Path of Exile: Around $150 over 7 years.

Both were games I played 2000+ hours in so...

I put some money into Dota2 once (around $50) but it was money I got off of selling a CSGO skin so I don't really count that.

Yeah I know but I know people who spend $50 plus a month on add-ons etc.

I like how the only options with votes at the moment are "none" and "I'm a whale," with no in between. :)
Fitting, really.

Can't even really pick, like I spent 20 bucks on a game last year, then 10 bucks again on it this year. and yeah that's it. It's not 0 but it's not 10 a month, so i'd guess i'll just pick 0?

Whales will typically allocate x amount of money to spend on a game every month.
The problem is that to the mobile whales, they don't even realize that there is a better way.

There's nothing wrong with microtransactions inherently, I mean - if you feel a game is worth $20 and you got it free, and you pay up to $20 in microtransactions... you're just being legitimately reasonable.

okay but there are also a lot of people who are considered minnows who might play a game and spend $2-$10 but not spend anything beyond that

And companies don't really care about them that much, the whole business model is built around the whales.

I guess for a free to play game it's ok, but lots of paid games have added this shit too. I just avoid games w/ microtransactions entirely. Even the free ones. If you made a good game, I'll pay some money to play it, no problem. Shouldn't need to "sucker" someone in w/ a free price tag and nickel and dime them later.
But too many people see a one time $40-$60 up front purchase as too much, but $10+ a month for a year to be a great deal....

I expended in two android games and some steam games dlcs.

In case of Android, I buyed an ad remover for an JRPG game in one occasion. And I expended for a while in a gacha game, only to be very disappointed and quit in the end. My first and last gacha, that model is just not for me. They totally want you to keep expending in a fixed pattern. They will make your characters/equipment/items obsolete with time so you have to either play like crazy or just expend again. Why is that even legal?

My DLC politic is: buy if good enough, wait for a deal if not so good, don't buy if bad or the company is being unfair.

And... I can't vote because my case doesn't fit in any of the poll options. I don't have a fixed expending pattern. Seriously!
