I don't remember if 1 and 2 had vague class descriptions too, but the class descriptions are pretty much useless.

I usually play summoner classes(I picked Roland in 1 and Gaige in 2), so I went with Wilhelm. Hopefully I picked the right one. WTF does Claptrap even do? His class description just says "a mistake" or some stupid shit like that.

The class descriptions have always been pretty superficial at best. You're much better off just looking at their actual skills and trees to get an impression of how they're going to play.

Also Claptrap has sort of a Roulette Wheel ability, when you activate it it might summon a Minion to help, mimick one of the the BL2 Heroes abilities(albeit in bastardized from) or throw out a bunch of grenades that kill both him and other players, there is a bunch more things that can happen too.

They mean 1.5, but since it came after 2, they probably count it as 2.5, even though that would be Tales of the Borderlands.
