Uh... a photographic example would be useful, but I'm going to go ahead and say that it's mostly cons.

If you're looking to reduce damage from impacts, there are better more modern options.
It would burn in the heat and freeze in the cold.

Yeah, I just can't think of a reason why you would want one outside of novelty in this day and age.

Metal hats? Aside from military? There is literally no pro.

They are too heavy, uncomfortable, and absolutely unnecessary.

Safety helmets are usually composed of various types of plastic and foam.

Awhile ago, safety helmets were made of metal too, we have a couple.

Well, it doesn't have to be 100% metal... it's for style points so there's probably gunna be some cloth/leather or even a little velcro on there as needed.

Entirely metal with the inside bands that shape to your head being plastic.

The US military doesn't use steel pots anymore. From the 1980s until early 2010s they were made of Kevlar and Twaron, while the current model Enhanced Combat Helmet is made from ultra-high-molecular-weight polyethylene. These are lighter and offer better ballistic protection than the M1 helmet.

Con: If the metal hat sits directly on your head without any kind of insert, then wearing it in the sun would definitely burn your head.

If you have buns of steel, and then someone makes you wear your ass for a hat, then you'd have a metal hat!

I mean it could stop bullets probably, so there is that.

It could be light enough still as well, depending on the type of metal.

You could stick magnets to it probably to make it look different each day lol.

It would be fairly unique, nobody else would have one.

It would protect your hair from fire if there are sparks around etc.

In theory, you could set it up to use solar panels to power your cell phone or something (mostly metal with a flat top that has solar panels on it *hehe*.

Made right it could fold up and fit in your pocket when not using it, it could be used to hold water or as a pot basically, and in theory even put over a fire to boil that water and cook with.

If the edges of the hat are sharp, you could use it as a thrown weapon in a pinch!!

Also, can hide metal objects in your hat to sneak through metal detectors is a pro!!
