Not the strongest teaser that I'd like to see. The camera work was janky as all hell, but it looks like they're following the Companions of the Hall. I mean, 2 humans, one wielding a bow and another a hammer, a dwarf, and a dual-wielding Drow. Kind of felt more like a Gauntlet game set in Icewind Dale more than anything. I'll need to see more info before I make a judgement.

Something tells me they just put a shoddy teaser up to get hype built up, and then the actual game will be an isometric game like the previous Dark Alliance titles...but yeah, the Dungeons and Dragons twitter confirmed that it's the Champions of the Hall

Just missing Regis, but...something tells me he ain't playable :P

If it's like the previous Dark Alliances, that's exactly what it is, which is probably why they went with the Dark Alliance title to begin with, even though this clearly isn't in the same vein as the original 2, due to it not only using premade characters, but characters with a few decades of history

Damn, the DA titles were some of my favorite co-op games ever back in the day. Im pretty hyped for this, Im excited for the premade characters so the game can be steeped in lore but hope they retain the co-op hack and slash loot fest... with more fleshed out trees.

CB's a Cleric/Mage and Regis is basically a Swashbuckler/Artificer.

Luckily the co-op, couch co-op included is already confirmed, it's just a matter of us seeing something, which we'll definitely see by E3 at least, I love the Dark Alliance games (as well as Champions of Norrath games) so once I saw that Dark Alliance title...and Drizzt, I was sold.

It's definitely possible, right now, the 4 confirmed definitely make up the most balanced party, and 4-5 is the usual class/character amount in this type of game, so I'd say Regis still has a chance of being confirmed, but if he isn't playable, he'll likely be an NPC at least.

Regis was always looking for a way to get fat and comfortable, so I doubt he will be a playable character in this game. I have no doubt that we'll see Artemis Entreri as playable at some point. Probably hidden until you beat the game, like in DA2.

It definitely is, even as the teaser it is, it doesn't really help for people who don't already have a fondness for, or have an idea what Dark Alliance is/was, since I'm almost positive it'll look and play like the original Dark Alliance games...ya know, just with modern polish

Yeah, I had the DA titles and a friend had the Champions of Norrath titles, so co-op hack-n-slash was covered quite nicely. IIRC there were also some X-Men titles based on that style of gameplay, and the horrendous Fallout beat-em-up.

That teaser though... blech...

DA2 was a nice sweet spot for co-op. The idea of a second class for the characters helped flesh things out, but the mix wasn't as kind to some characters as others.

The first game had some unfortunate balance though, in that the Sorceress' Ball Lightning killed almost everything before it could even enter the screen, leaving a single point in Melf's Acid Arrow to clean up anything resistant to lightning. That left the Fighter being super boring and simple, and the Arcane Archer as a middle option.
