It's a bit late in the trilogy for ep 9 to introduce it and build the hype factor, so that's why I say next trilogy.

I want to see force wielding be a thing. A major thing.

The new hero dual wields from the get-go (say (s)he's been a jedi for a while) then in a pinch at the climax, forcegrabs one for the kill. Just like a two second thing.

Then in ep11, the baddies have gotten wind of this and have adopted a full-on Malak-style three saber strategy, which the hero matches and then one-ups by force wrestling the bad guy's force-wielded lightsaber away for a 4-to-2 advantage.

Then finally, in ep12, they just keep adding more and more lightsabers until there's a battle (not the final though; that needs to be more personal) where both parties enter the room, casually look at each other for a second, maybe even sit in chairs on opposite sides of the room, then the whole place just erupts with flying lightsabers as if dozens of jedi and sith were packed into the room, while the opponents just sit there with their eyes closed lol.

At that point just give a guy force death star beam and call it a day.

So many powers and they always just go for force pulling things to you.

How about force using light sabers that fight for you?

mind control?

force crushing fools?

For speed like the flash?

Etc.

Apparently, Paul Verhoeven was in consideration for Return of the Jedi at some point, but then his film Spetters came to the states and he was dropped because of all the genitalia on display in that movie.

I want him to do the next trilogy.

This the force could make you have ice powers or fire powers. Not just lightning.
Infact, maybe that is how they do lightning.

Seems like it would be possible but pretty much infeasibly advanced to do temp control. There are a lot of molecules in a thing, after all.

Of course, we don't really know how it works so maybe it really would be as simple as just willing heat into/out of the target instead of trying to telekinese incredible amounts of tiny things individually.

When you said "focused on Force" I was thinking like a trilogy loosely based off of The Force Unleashed games.

Except maybe not as outrageous. Stopping a Star Destroyer from crashing on top of you using the force seems a bit much.

I always liked thinking of the Force as omnipotent with its users being the bottleneck. So the Force is totally up to grand feats like that but it would take superhuman faith in it to pull out that capability.
