Dailymail has received exclusive leaked images of Sony's new PS5 controller that is making its rounds on the internet and it's vastly different from its predecessors as long gone is the batman style controllers

The document highlights a "multifunctional controller" tha connects to a range of devices from PC, smart TV and PS5.

The portable device is shown in a perfect RECTANGLE shape with a displaty in the centre with surrounding buttons as some acts as a fingerprint and hear rate sensors

It has a D-Pad, 4 control buttons and 2 triggers at the top side of each with an LCD display in the bottom and switch on the bottom that serves as the on and off button.

It also has a memory storage that can connect to the internet and bluetooth as the display lists a range of options including "watch tv" and "Play game" and "check email"

This could be officially introduced in November 20, 2020 next year as the PS5 will cost 500 according to sources

This comes as leaked images of Sony's design for the PS5 were shown that is also vastly different and in a V shape that was sent to devs..

All of these images and leaks were all posted by LetsGoDigital as gamers are divided over the proposed console design and controllers as we will see soon if any of these rumours comes to fruition.

No analogue sticks and fewer buttons than the previous generation makes it unlikely that this is THE PlayStation 5 controller, especially if the constant rumors of backwards compatibility are true. You certainly cant play older games on that thing. Theres always the possibility that its some sort of extra controller for basic controls or even their backlog of phone games, or something similar.

Hardware developers figured out a long time ago that rectangular controllers suck. No way they'd go back to it.

Why would Dailymail of all places be the only one to receive a legitimate leak? That alone makes me doubtit even before looking at the pictures and laughing hysterically at how unlikely it is that Sony would make that the primary controller for the system.

A controller that resemblanced a keyboard and mouse would be more believable.

This is why I'm always right. Learn to accept it or fall behind.

Yeah I think it's a little thicker to allow for haptic feedback and some sort of resistance feedback on the L2/R2 buttons. They have time to change it though. The fewer changes the better I say.

i mean, you can just go view the patent filing for the new controller with an easy google search, and that's not it.

it's literally just the normal dualshock design with usb-c and an embedded microphone, with slightly smaller sticks. it still retains the touchpad, which makes sense if the ps5 is to be backwards compatible with the ps4. oh, and there's rumble in the triggers now, like the xbox one controllers.

The dev kits are real but the actual product won't look like them. The controllers? Not so much. Besides the patent that's been floating about looks nothing like this and the actual controller with the dev kits is a fatter DS 4 with slight adjustments so eh.
