Cooking shows have been a tv staple for decades and many of them aren't aimed at aspiring chefs. Jerry Seinfeld has a show where all he does is make small talk while he drives to a coffee shop. Plenty of entertainment is just a framework for interesting people to talk and interact with a guest and/or their audience, why not do it while eating?
