tbh i thought the customer was wrong but they just kept arguing and arguing about it. Tbh i thought their argument made no sense. He saw a one pack of a garage door battery on the stores official website that was selling for like 2 bucks. I might add that we do not even price match prices on the official website. We only had a 2 pack that was for like 8 bucks , we did not have the one pack but then he argues that we should sell him the 2 pack for 4 bucks , which would be double the cost of the one pack that he was looking at on his phone. Does this argument make sense to you?

I've seen online only pricing at a number of stores. Prices on the web site don't suddenly mean you as an employee at a store can change the price of an item in the store to match or be similar to online pricing.

it makes sense in a 'this is worth this much, so this should be worth that much' sort of way.

does it make sense to cave to his demands? well, let me ask you: what about everyone else who wants the two-pack at half price? what do you tell them?

What is the reasoning in that? I'd leave and not likely return

Yeah, I get his point but that's not even the item being advertised so it doesn't work that way. In no way was he entitled to that sort of deal.

Back in the day I'd just call for a manager and let them deal with that shit. Then they can either tell the customer to leave or give the baby their bottle so to speak. But either way, it's at their own discretion.

Customer is stupid just like all customers. Unfortunately equally stupid managers will also bend over backwards to please the dumbasses because "Customer always right"

Many retail stores don't honor their online store prices, I was surprised to learn. It's not as uncommon as you would think.
