I got the free week of Disney +, enjoying the mandalorian, but not sure if i'll sub because......

I remember now watching the first season of ultimate spiderman waay back when it came out and not liking it.It was too goofy and they used doll heads etc.

Cut forward a bunch of years and I was babysitting kids and saw episodes of Teen Titans. I did not remember the ultimate spiderman setup at that point, so I didn't notice the simularities (lots of little doll super hero scenes, same kinda humor etc).

So any experts out there know if the two shows are done by the same director or something? Are they linked somehow? It seems like they are too similar to just be random.

Trying to give season 2 a shot, but I actually kinda enjoyed Teen Titans more since I wasn't a fan of any of those heroes so it didn't matter if they were goofy/stupid etc.

I like spidey to have humor/jokes etc, but this is going a bit too far and is too Teen like (I know the ultimate comics had him as a teen, but he was a mature teen that was trying to deal with serious stuff and the comics were quite good).

The tv series though just dissapointed me, to the point I had totally forgotten I watched the first season in the past lol.

Anyway I am enjoying The Clone Wars...so maybe it's worth subbing for that...but I may wait till after my month of hulu ends so I'm not double subbing instead of doing it back to back.

They're not.

The commonalities probably stem from both being somewhat inspired/influenced by anime.

The other connection they have is that the studio that made Ultimate Spiderman was the same one that made Ben 10. And the guy who produced Teen Titans worked with them on Ben 10.
