You have any tips for ship building and parts selection? I've got a shape I'm happy with, but I haven't really finalized which parts I want yet. I am thinking of putting 3 of the mid sized pieces that shoot a ton of shots, but have a small range on that left side. For the right side, I"m not exactly sure what I'm going to do. Also, I've got to do some testing and see what, if anything it'll let me install in that center hole. Will likely pack it with various pods if it lets me. Will probably change the engines to two mid size ones rather than a large and small.

Yes. Y'see, later on it's very easy for cores to get severed and if you aren't good at using the tractor beam it's basically a loss. The higher the links, the more armour you have - but even without that, if a 2block gets one severed, you still have power linked to the rest of the ship (probably)

Alrighty, thanks. Guess I'll leave this goofiness for now and go level up some more until I can get the last core and make a 3 wide 5 long ship.

If you plan on doing achievements I recommend hitting the Arenas early and often since they're BORING AF doing all of them in a row... and you get to learn new ship design strategies
