Beast Ball Eternatus GET!

I was able to use a currently running Japanese Mystery Gift code event to get a Beast Ball prior to the post-game.

It also took longer than I expected to get a Modest or Timid nature on Eternatus, but I ended up getting Timid on back to back attempts (the first one had poor IVs on the non-31 stats). I eventually settled on keeping one that had 19/31/21/31/31/31 IVs, as getting 5 IVs would already be a huge challenge without the ability to control the nature with Synchronize.

OK this sounds more of a waste of time than anything I ever did

That..sucked. It was something like 20 playtime hours.
I actually used the den exploit to get to 02/15/2022 until I got everything
Grookey, Scorbunny, Sobble, Skwovet, Nickit, Wooloo, Yamper families and the 4 fossil Pokemon are unobtainable with their HA..for now

Coming up next is getting every Gigantamax form. Honestly it shouldn't be too bad..if what Serebii states is true that every Gigantamax is 5% chance encounter in 5 star raids
This means it's 1.75% chance per attempt..so once every 54 tries or so

But somewhere mentioned that it took him more than 1 year of den exploit to get Gmax Coalossal so...maybe I am getting something wrong here?
I also hope that they won't wipe the floor with me. 5 Star Hatterene was tough enough with it's AOE move that almost OHKO the 3 NPC Pokemon, so can't imagine just how much worse a GMax Hatterene is...

Oh and also there are 3 GMax that are exclusive to Sword or I need some extra hard work to get them online so those 3 are going to suck pretty badly
Not to mention being unable to save scum them and having shit capture rate...

It can definitely take forever. Its all up to RNG really. Ive seen people who set the date forward 2 full years before getting the G-max to appear

Well in the 50 minutes after that post I already found GMax Kingler and Charizard so hopefully it will continue being like this

The online competitions notes that Gmax Charizard is only allowed with Blaze, so I have to assume they plan to release a Charizard raid event eventually

Where do I see this? Because Serebii lists only the legendary Pokemon as banned

It's specifically VGC 2020 that bans most of the Gigantamaxes. The current season of Ranked Battles bans all of them outright, but the recent Galar Beginnings competition did allow all of them.

It wasn't bad, no one took more than 20 minutes
Sadly, 9 of them does not have the Hidden Ability so...I think I might go for it?
All of them were easy to beat with the exception of Hatterene which is just broken. Causing confusion and having a STAB that hits every Pokemon? oh god
I had to get the Internet help for that

Search for the Pokemon you want here

Then enter the den listed and check if it can a HA or not
Bring a Trace Gardevoir so you can know if the Pokemon has a HA or not when the battle starts
To find the Pokemon just use the den exploit and waste hours, good luck

By the way, 4 Gmax Charaizard and all of them had Blaze. Fuck this, this will take weeks

So this new trading system is not great. I almost traded an Eternatus with a Master Ball to a complete stranger. I don't know why they don't tell you the name of the person you connect with when you start a trade (I eventually found out you can see the name if you put your select cursor on an empty space in your box, but that's still a poor UI decision)

With the Switch allowing you to create multiple user profiles and each profile being able to have its own save file, you could easily abuse the GTS to trade between save files on your own Switch (especially to farm Mystery Gift events). So that's probably one reason for not having it.

But another reason is that they will probably lock the GTS behind a Pokemon Home pay wall instead.

Got to Route 6 and the first Pokemon I encountered was an Axew, which of course I killed accidentally. Then later on I ran from a Trapinch.

I don't think so. You can get Destiny Knots from the Delibird raids, which are useful for breeding purposes at least.

I found none of the tar encounters that you find in the overworld too much of an issue. You can change the spawns quickly.

Started the game last night.

Picked Sobble as my starter. I felt so bad for him, he looked so sad!

Current team:
-Soble (Aqua) Level 12
-Rookidee (Poe) Level 11
-Yamper (Thundress) Level 11
-Chewtle (Tokka) Level 10
-Oddish (Ceres) Level 15
-Zigzagoon (Rocket) Level 9

I don't think I've ever had a team of six before my first gym before. Also, not sure why I'm not running into many female pokemon.

These games probably has more Pokmon available before the first gym than anything before. That's a plus for sure.

So I'm at the Slumbering Weald part toward the end of the game. I LOVED the way they changed the Pokemon League format, but I gotta say Route 10 was WEAKSAUCE compared to the Victory Roads that I'm used to. Victory Road is supposed to be one final challenge on your route to the Elite 4 and Champion, but Route 10 was just piss easy and very low effort. Dislike.

Exactly! I wanted a proper Victory Road with puzzles, tons of trainers, and lots of strong Pokemon.

Instead I just got a slightly different route 9.

Do they stay shiny when they evolve? Are shiny pokemon stronger? This is the first shiny I've caught. Is there something cool to them other than just being rarer?

They stay shiny when they evolve. They're not stronger. The colour scheme and rarity are the only things that set them apart in any way
