Sorry to hear that. I used to not feel sorry for suiciders. Until my best friend did it. And like your uncle, nobody has any idea why he did it.

She's doing ok. As far as she's letting on anyway. I won't worry too much till she's scrubbing labels off of canned food. That's what she did when she was trying to cope with my grandpa dying 30 some years ago

Trying this again... just in case it comes up it's from a Louisiana newspaper. I'm curious why can y'all buy fireworks in December there but we can't in Missouri?

One last bump from me and I'll let this topic go. Looks like we did do an obituary.

Yeah he did. He was such a history buff I'm sure he enjoyed the hell out of it. Once you got that dude talking history you were in for a long talk lol. He gave a lot of us kids in the family little facts and what not to.

He must have had so many stories to tell. This is a huge loss to us all.

Totally. He could tell you about tsar Nicholas II being overthrown like he saw it himself or the storming of Normandy in excruciating detail naming which soldier did what and where they were gunned down and who made it.

Like I said in another thread:

Man, I've had so many people in my life who are precious to me die, mostly from cancer or ending their own lives. Hell, I came close to doing it myself a couple years ago, after constantly staying up for over half a week at a time, and then having the desire to go fall asleep int he middle of the freeway. Thankfully my best friend called me and begged me to call a suicide hotline and beg them to take me to a psych ward.

Dear god did that help out so much. Got my main anti-depressant that was no longer working replaced with something MUCH stronger, and I met someone who helped me become a lot less paranoid and accept myself a little more than I have before, and it's led to me being able to handle and maintain friendships a lot better since, but the desire still can come back pretty hard on me sometimes. I should be ok though, got a HUGE support structure now.

Still, there's a LOT of people out there that don't have what I have. Try to be kind to people if you can, you never know what they're going through, or how close they are to doing something irreversable.
