I mean when your already spending $5 + per cup of coffee...why not add delivery fees, service fees and tips to the mix!!!

Also, your at freaking home, if you like coffee, you should have a way to make it there.

I'm a cold brew guy and while I've done it at home plenty of times, it's a little more work involved

Yeah, but you can make it ahead of time (or start the process) so other then right when you wake up, I actually find it easier/faster to have it ready then the hot stuff (which isn't hard either for that matter, even using a coffee press etc).

Making good coffee at home is WAY cheaper then starbucks...and better in my opinion with very little effort.

Even when I worked at starbucks (eons ago), I still mostly made my coffee and teas at home. Of course I was married and my wife lived in france for over a year, so she had very high standards for her coffee and it rubbed off on me.

depends on what you like...me while i don't go to starbucks(i do drink their ground coffee) i can say that whenever i go to mcdonalds I'm likely to get one of their coffee drinks that i probably won't be able to make at home for one reason or another

stuff like the cinnamon cookie latte or a caramel mocha

and honestly when you live out in the sticks you don't really have much options in terms of making delicious flavored coffees

Idk what's worse, Starbucks drinkers and their mindset, or the food delivery app people and their laziness. Those people care so little about their job, are terrible at communication and rarely know what they're doing. They are basically the laziest of workers serving lazy ass people.

I drink instant coffee, but I'm no snob about it. I can taste some difference, but I actually like the taste of coffee. Good or "bad", it's always had a great taste to me. *sips on tea*

I wouldnt lump them all, though. Some people order food through an app when they are at work. Or working at home and cant get away. In those cases, its usually less lazy people who are working more. Even when its just running errands and cleaning an such. Not to mention, there are also some places where the carry out hours differ from the delivery hours. Papa Johns is an example. The carryout hours end at 9:25. But they deliver until midnight. Thats. Ore for actual delivery rather than Ubers Eats, though...

It doesn't take long to bake a pizza.
It's all still a lazy, luxury. Being lazy isn't always bad, you just gotta earn it. When it's all the time, you're just a lazy person. Where will it end?
It's easy to be lazy, but the easy and the right thing are not always the same thing.

I'm a lazy person, but I earn it for it myself. I don't rely much on others, just public services like heating and water. If I eat someone else's food or drink, it's an occasion, not part of my routine.

Too long: those who fail to plan, plan to fail. There's lots of (lazy) backup options for those who fail to plan.

I get that food delivery services allow businesses to deliver that don't want to employ their own drivers.

What's out of hand is people using then to avoid going 2 blocks or simply to order a cup of coffee.

If you re talking about homemade pizza, thats if you like it and have the ingredients. I personally dont like homemade pizza that much. Theres just something about it. Its still pizza, so I enjoy, but... And not everyone will
Always have ingredients for one. And if youre busy, it could also be considered unsafe.

That being said, you can call whoever you want lazy. But I disagree. Just because I dont have time to make lunch at home while working two jobs doesnt mean I should have to go without lunch when I can get it delivered. Its not lazy. Lazy would be abandoning work for however long it takes just to get lunch, when I could order and keep working until it arrives. Meaning my break is just for eating, instead of taking 2 as log depending on distance to the restaurant, how long the line is (how busy it is), getting back, and still take time for eating...

Honestly, you can get a passable home espresso machine and milk frother/steamer for under $1000. If you're spending $5 on such a drink from starbucks every day, you'll pay for that in a year, even accounting for ingredient costs. It won't be quite the same quality, particularly where there is some skill involved in making lattes and the like, but you can save a ton of money that way.
