Wasn't sure most of today. I woke up and my entire left arm was numb/tingly etc....still feel it a bit now. I even took an asprin to hopefully help. Seems to be getting better though and no side effects and now my hand feels almost normal (just my upper arm is still sore/slightly numb at this point).

Maybe I just slept on it really wrong or pinched a nerve or something.

I avoid hospitals/doctors like the plague at this point so really wasn't looking forward to dealing with it if that was going to be my new norm. I was still able to use the arm, but it basically felt like it was asleep/numb most of the day.

I did have a steak for lunch, which also may be contributing to making it better. I've been eating ALOT less beef lately and in the past this has had negative effects on my health (and more to the point eating beef/steak seems to cure colds/flu, help with migrains, give me more energy and even help with depression). Perhaps I had just gone to long without any steak/beef, and that was the result.

Nah, I do have to see my doctor on the 22nd (they make you in order to renew your perscriptions every 3 months:( )......I will only go in before that if it's an absolute emergency. I do hope my arm continues to get better though as it still feels like if you sat on it in a bad position or something for awhile (semi-numb). Not enough to keep me from typing though!

Might wanna bring it up during your regular visit then. My aunt found out that she'd had a heart attack at some point and didn't know. So it very well could be. Take care of yourself, alright?

It was getting better, and now it's almost back to normal:) Mostly feels sore at this point, and kinda like I over used it or something.

Yeah, definitely bring that up at your next visit. You're probably okay to wait that week and a half if your symptoms are going away and weren't that severe, but you don't want to mess around with possible heart attacks.

Also, you're supposed to chew aspirin if you're having a heart attack, not just take it normally. Just in case you didn't know.

When my arm went all numb and I started losing strength in my hand, it turned out to be a herniated cervical disc. The disc was pressing against one of the nerves coming out of the spine. They were able to fix it with microsurgery. The incision was maybe an inch long and they didn't even use stitches, they literally just glued me back together. I was on my way home just a couple hours after the surgery and I was able to go back to work in just a week. The worst part of it was a couple days with a sore throat from the endotracheal tube.

Many people are advised to take a low dose aspirin on a daily basis.

My uncle in law was driving around on jobs and didn't feel ok. He stopped at a 7/11 and chewed up a few aspirin. Then drove himself to the nearest hospital.

He was experiencing what is referred to as a "widow maker" heart attack. Had he arrived 1 minute later, he would be dead right now.

Feeling better today and yeah, I added an aspring to the pills I take each morning for now (I'll talk to my doctor about it when I see him).

Figure it can't hurt for a week or so.

Arm feels mostly normal today, just a bit tired/sore.

Thanks for the advice:)
