Plenty of homages to the original series while doing new things, and they constantly switch up the gameplay styles

One level you're clearing a house of potential enemies room by room in silence

Next you're in a cramped set of tunnels like Sicario

Next you're telling a person how to get to safety via an intercom

Cool. I might be able to get it for free with my new graphics card in a week or two. I held off on buying it cause Outer Worlds came out and then I heard the mulitplayer was a bit janky but if the campaign is good at least I'd be happy to use my free game on it.

The Spec Ops is the biggest flop they've had in awhile, but the campaign is great and varied (although short) and the multi took some getting used to but feels really good. The maps are definitely not the best though.

Black Ops 4 was tight, that was like the only thing I played from release to like April. The biggest problem it had was being infested with microtransactions.

Absolutely not. Lot of Black Ops kiddies aren't used to the slower gameplay that's reminiscent of CoD 4 more than anything else.

I'm at level 107 now and I'm having a blast.

That being said, it can get plenty fast if you want it to. There are numerous ways to get around speed-wise.

Its literally an M4/725 with claymore fest

Games end before time limits at not even half the time

Large sprawling maps with literally nowhere to go and no enemies seen for minutes. On average, it took over a minute to get the first kill in the game.

Ive been playing COD competitive since 4 with my boys. We attended events and played hundreds of GB matches. This is the first one I think were just not even going to play.

oma I see, but I played TONS of mw2 and I never thought danger close was an issue.

It was bad, I remember it like it was yesterday. There were no good counters for explosives either, and Danger Close affected some killstreaks too lol

Noobtubing the spawn in S&D was my personal pet peeve

- Night Vision multiplayer shit its bed and isnt part of the play list
- Ground War, its good but it isnt the greatest
- Regular multiplayer maps are trash that doesnt suit any game mode or game style

- TDM score board doesn't show how many deaths you have
- DOMINATION score board doesn't show how many flags you have capture

I liked Advanced Warfare a lot though, reminded me of Quake/Halo/Unreal with all the jumping and crazy weapons

as a rusher, i'm extremely frustrated by Modern Warfare. I can't stand sitting in a room and guarding two entry points and waiting for someone to run by. But that's what this game has become. That's all people want to do it seems. The maps are too large, too confusing and too complex. The Palace map might be one of the worst COD maps in recent memory. Shoot House is a GOOD map and reminiscent of fun COD maps. Maybe because it's so small...go figure.

I can't get into Ground War. It's just not fun for me.

I'm still going to give this game a little more time before I completely write it off though. It's a shame because the campaign is fantastic. But yeah the multiplayer just isn't as fast and fun as I'm used to playing in prior CODs.

It plays similar to CoD 4. If y'all played that one back in the day you'd feel that too.

A lot of people come from Black Ops and are used to three lane maps, SMG metas and welfare kills. I'm not surprised a lot of people are getting pissed at this game, but the longer I play it the more rewarding it feels, especially when you customize your favorite gun the way you want it
