Zero Time Dilemma was good. Overhyped because of how long it took and it being the conclusion to a beloved series, and it didn't live up to expectations, but it was good.

Somnium Files is better though.

I bought it at launch but it came out the same time as a million other games I was interested in came out. Now that I've (mostly) worked through those, I'm excited to dig back into it.

But also... I still haven't started Trails of Cold Steel 3, so....

Ztd was fine until the ending where it just got stupid.

The gameplay/plot were fine until then but not as good as vlr and especially not 999. In my heart I still consider 999 to be a standalone title tbh

Somnium has clear strengths over 999 but also clear weaknesses. In the end I'll say they are equal. I respect 999s plot more but somnium had clear wins with characters, their believability and interactions and especially gameplay, silly qtes notwithstanding the puzzle design was a lot more fun here

Honestly Sigma and Diana true ending (or whatever it's called I forgot) was one of the top gaming moments ever, such an emotional part
Screw people making fun of "alien fax machines" and totally ignoring how good the whole segment was

Again, I enjoyed ZTD. The ending made me forget I did.

I will give Al a chance because people here (well, the few that played it) are really praising it

I liked ZTDs ending a lot. I have problems with it, but it was a ride. SigmaDiana ending was indeed one of gaming's greatest moments.

Somnium Files was EXCELLENT. It totally got overtaken in my brain because I played The House in Fata Morgana immediately afterwards which is greatest game of all time potential, but it's a shame because it was super good and everyone should play it who is even slightly interested.

Super glad to hear AI is good! Haven't gotten around to it and have avoided discussions for fear of spoilers. Will definitely be playing it at some point next year.

I thought ZTD was terrific but the ending, as in the epilogue got stuffed into text only was deflating. I can only imagine they ran out of budget.

Only complaints was Eric.....and Eric, yeah sounds right.
