It's definitely one of the dumbest memes in terms of how it's been used. Usually memes start off in one context, get used that way for a while, then eventually starts getting used in less and less sensible ways until it loses meaning and no one cares. This one feels like it had widespread use in a relevant context for like, a day before it primarily became a thing people who are decades removed from being boomers spam at each other.

I like it in practice but people use it terribly, but, unlike other memes, when you tell them they're using it badly they simply reply with 'ok boomer' and at that point it's almost kind of funny again.
