I'm just offended by the fact that people keep fucking up the meaning of V for Vendetta/Guy Fawkes by acting like it's something to aspire to.
V really isn't supposed to be the "hero" of that story any more than Rorschach was supposed to be the character you gravitate to in Watchmen. Americans completely miss the context and make Alan Moore sad. same article you linked to The organization claims it had been receiving complaints regarding the cake's design, with some attendees "threatening to damage the piece." Cake International also denies censorship accusations, saying the cake was not removed from the competition for its political design, but was simply removed from the "competition area." It further claims that while the cake was ultimately disqualified, this came as a result of other factors, namely that part of the design hung over the "allowed area." --- "Genetics is fascinating.
