Millions of years from now cats and dogs will probably evolve greater intelligence thanks to human intervention.
I mean, my cat sat and watched me turn a key on the doorknob and start my car, etc. So, catpeople and dogpeople will likely inherit the earth. Idk the fate of humans, maybe they still around but furry people are a given. IMO ... Copied to Clipboard!

I imagine it'd go towards bioengineering or advanced cosmetic surgery humans to have animal-traits, rather than uplifting animals. Seems much easier, tbh.

There are plenty of nerds that spank it to anime. I really don't see much difference from an anime waifu and an anthropomorphic wolf-person as neither exist IRL.
