The sole black man at a rally held by Mike Pence in Virginia Beach was spotted by Dailymail and was identified as a Republican Volunteer..and he wore a CONFEDERATE FLAG who said he was PROUD to wear the flag despite it being the symbol of SLAVERY and DISCRIMINATION against African African Americans because he said if it wasn't for that, they wouldn't BE IN AMERICA today and that it's HERITAGE..even though he's NEVER lived in the south!!

He admits that his garb upsets his black friends back home in CHICAGO but said "It's what i believe in. Yeah, it's not racist, it's heritage"

He told Dailymail that he was a volunteering staff member with the Republican Party's efforts to turn out the vote in Virginia and unlike West Virginia, is the more liberal state.

He travels here for work and is employed at a shipyard and when asked what he thought of the president and pence, he said "I love the fact that they're typical Americans. Trump says what he feels. I'm not putting the man on a pedestal. he says whatever he says, it is what it is"

Asked why he liked him, he said "They're getting rid of illegal immigrants. It's time for themto go. They're benefiting off of us. We're working hard and they're benefiting off of it. And since he's been in office i've been making more money. People need to get off their lazy asses and support yourself."

When asked what he would tell people about his garb, he said "I tell them all the time. You believe what you believe. I believe what i believe My black friends know me and they respect me as a man. So they say what they believe and leave it at that. It is not racist, it is heritage and the south fought for what they believed help their economy at the time and if it wasn't for them, we wouldn't be here. Black people forget about that and only look at the bad but not the good it did for us in the end."

When Dailymail asked the Republican Party of Virginia if they endorse the flag, Tina Maples, the Chairwoman said "I will just say that the Republican Party, we believe in equal rights for all people and welcome all people. We don't stand for racism, we oppose that. We think everyone deserves equal opportunities"

The Confederacy was created to preserve racism and slavery. A few generals not agreeing with it but still fighting for it because it was their native home does not override that. The northern states that wanted to secede doesnt override that either, as they werent a part of it and wanted to secede from the union for different reasons. The man defending the Confederacy is about as ignorant as pasty white leftists defending Socialism. To put it simple, defending the Confederacy and dying on that hill is not putting America first.

The statues were meant to make black people remember "their place." Obviously they won't be as effective now but that was still their original purpose, as well as to instill a sense of pride in whites for their racism.
