It never gets old.

I just accidentally found a great spot to go after Naydra. It's the little things that make me love this game.

Definitely in my top 5 games of all time. Can't wait for the sequel

After I beat the main questline, I got bored of it. It has a huge map, but it's so empty and then the load times are absurd when traveling between towers.

And in general I was kinda disappointed, but I went in with some heavy expectations and the fact that there are just basically 4-5 dungeons certainly didn't help.

I spent several thousand hours on just one character in Skyrim >_> If there's interesting content, I'll keep playing a game for months and months. Even something like KIU I wound up putting almost 500 hours into.

My counterpoint is that LttP, LBW, and OoT exist, for starters. I'd put it top 10 or maybe even top 5, but I wouldn't rank it among the top 3 let alone #1.

I didn't think it was anything special, the shrines are childish and the main 'dungeons' are nothing special. The overall world design was fun but I think exploration could be a little more rewarding overall. 9.5 game on it's strengths but it's flaws are apparent.

Probably the most polarizing game I've ever played. I loved the stuff I loved so much, but I also hated the stuff I hated just as strongly.

Ive only played it for about 10 hours and then got kinda bored of it.
I loved Super Mario Odyssey though but I have always been more of a Mario guy than a Zelda guy.

I haven't played Skyrim, I know the amount of time needed for it and I just don't have it

Yeah, that's how I felt too. I just stopped playing, giving up on thunder blight Gannon. I didn't care anymore to keep going, even though it was the last divine beast I had to beat

I put an embarrassing amount of time into the game before finding out you can upgrade the armor.

The people who like botw use their imaginations to fill in the gaps

Although this shouldnt be accredited to the games design just because you can make something empty and repetitive better in your heads

Zelda 1 is a pretty good analog since there was little sense of direction and much of the time I assumed that I was supposed to hit certain things later it turns out that the barrier was *meant* to be bypassed early (unlike other games which have traditionally used damage-over-time effects in areas to show that you shouldn't go there just yet)

I am many hours into it.

I get on kicks where I play it for 2 or 3 weeks straight like 5 hours every day. Then I'll not play it for like 10 months, rinse and repeat since launch night. Still have not beaten the game or explored all the nodes.
