I probably give it to Jurassic World. The Lost World is close, but it also has probably the worst scene in the series.

Jurassic Park 3 is super memorable for all the wrong reasons

This is another case where The Lost World and to a lesser extent JP3 have had their reputations improve as of late, particularly due to Fallen Kingdom being perceived as such a disappointment (which it kind of is), just like the Star Wars prequels. In this case I've preferred The Lost World over Jurassic World ever since the latter came out.

Part of me feels like Lost World got bad reviews at the time because it just seemed like another bloated '90s blockbuster.

Jurassic World is "fine." It's basically The Force Awakens for Jurassic Park. No risk phoned in story, decent execution.

The rest are bad, so it wins by default.

I just kind of miss something about the original three Jurassic Park movies. Like, it was pretty fun to discuss how the dinosaurs were portrayed in the films compared to what scientists thought at the time. The new Jurassic Park films just take the idea of the dinosaurs being genetic freaks of nature and run with it, whereas the old films at least tried for scientific accuracy and were a major leap forward for dinosaur portrayals in media compared to older films.

Fallen Kingdom: I only saw the last half hour or so, and I saw it several times, thanks to having worked part-time at AMC last summer. Everything about that movie screams 4.5 to me.

I've actually seen all but the last half hour or so of Fallen Kingdom (my internet died while I was streaming it and I've had no desire to see the end) and that's about right from my estimation too.

also, I haven't seen either Jurassic World movies but I thought Lost World was pretty decent from what I remember

of course the only thing I remember is the T-Rex rampaging on the mainland which was cool to me as a young teen

The worst part of The Lost World is Ians kid killing a velociraptor with gymnastics

Went Lost World but JW is very close in my mind, glad to see these result reflecting that.

Also, did you see that they're going to release 10 minute shorts set in the post-Fallen Kingdom Western United States between now and the next film? The first one came out last month and I enjoyed it a great deal.

I only ever saw the movie once back when it was in theaters but if memory serves the final four or five minutes are The raptors are smart and maybe compassionate lol -> Ellie really did send the entire navy XD -> credits.
